Tracey Koellisch

State Representative Legislative District 14 Seat A

Biography & Background

Tracey Koellisch is a Conservative Republican who is passionate about preserving and protecting our God-given rights and individual liberties. She has championed issues such as Election Integrity, the 2nd Amendment, and protecting Idahoans from forced Vaccine Mandates. Tracey was honored to serve as a Delegate for President Donald J. Trump in 2020 at the Republican National Convention.

Tracey has worked at the intersection of politics and business for more than 20 years. She has a strong and diverse business background that includes establishing FreedomStand USA, a 501(c)(4) organization with the mission to preserve and advance our Constitutional freedoms, individual liberties, and American exceptionalism, under God, as our Founder’s intended. She has partnered the last two years with conservative radio talk show host and author Charlie Kirk, from Turning Point USA, to educate and energize Idaho voters to contend for their conservative values and freedoms. Additionally, her experience includes serving as a Deputy Sheriff, working at the US Attorney’s Office in Washington, DC, leading a privatized corrections firm in the provision of alternative sentencing programs for the courts and probation, and serving as a Workforce Integrity and HR Consultant for a Fortune 50 Idaho-based company. Tracey is a strategic thinker and problem solver and has a strong desire to serve others.

Tracey has received the full support and early endorsements of US Congressman Russ Fulcher (R-Idaho) and Eagle Mayor Jason Pierce. She is also endorsed by Eagle City Council Members Brad Pike, Melissa Gindlesperger, Helen Russell, and Former Eagle Mayor Nancy Merrill.

Tracey lives in Eagle with her husband Bob and son Truett and is deeply committed to her faith and preserving our traditional conservative values.

Top 3 Issues:

1. Tax Relief and Protecting Idahoans Quality of Life:
We need to deliver real tax relief to Idahoans. Property taxes continue to soar creating unpredictable assessed values and insecurities for seniors and those on fixed incomes. When benchmarked against other states, Idaho is known for having a higher fuel tax, sales tax, income tax, and a grocery tax. Inflation continues to hit highs not seen in 40 years. We need to ensure our policies and spending do not eat away at Idahoan’s quality of life and their household budgets. We must work to ensure fiscal responsibility while reducing government spending. The 1.9 billion-dollar budget surplus should be returned back to the people in the form of tax relief.
2. Medical Freedom and Privacy:
I strongly OPPOSE the Federal Government’s overreach including forcing vaccine mandates on Idahoans. What started out as a mandatory quarantine to “flatten the curve” quickly transitioned into mandates that included business, school, and church closures, mask mandates, discussions of vaccine passports, coercive employment vaccinations, and terminations of employment for those Idahoans who did not receive the vaccine. These mandates have quickly become a divisive public policy issue creating unnecessary division in our great state. To be clear, I am not opposed to vaccines, but I am opposed to vaccine mandates. Where there is potential risk or harm, there must be choice. With Covid-19 vaccine manufacturers granted blanket liability protections against death or injury, Idahoans have no recourse against employers or the manufacturers who enforce these coercive mandates and are subsequently harmed or injured as a result of them. The proper role of government is to ensure individual liberty and equality. The Idaho Republican Party unanimously passed a statewide resolution that I authored last summer (Resolution 2021-49) requesting the Legislature reconvene and protect Idahoans from coercive vaccine mandates. We must work to ensure that Idahoans are in charge of their own healthcare decisions including medical freedom and privacy.
3. Election Integrity:
I SUPPORT and have championed efforts to strengthen and protect the integrity of our elections. An extensive “vote by mail” Covid-19 election presented serious logistical and security challenges that opened the door to questions of fraud and abuse. Many Idahoans were alarmed by media reports of voter irregularities following the 2020 elections. A loss of public trust and confidence in our voting processes ensued. The 2020 elections serve as a reminder that the right to vote in a fair and free election is a citizen’s most basic civil right that must be protected. Even before Joe Biden’s electoral votes were certified by Congress on January 6, 2021, I had begun to act with other key stakeholders as a founding member of the “Citizen’s Committee for Election Integrity”. The committee met on January 2, 2021 and established (14) Minimum Standards for Fair & Honest Elections. These standards were read into the Congressional Record on January 6, 2021 by members of Idaho’s Congressional Delegation. Additionally, these standards were later adopted by the Idaho Republican Party and became a guide for the National Republican Party. (These standards can be viewed on the Idaho Republican Party’s website.) Bottom line, we need to ban ballot harvesting, restrict private drop boxes, strengthen citizenship verification, ensure chain of custody, establish post-election audits, and ensure the legislature maintains jurisdiction over establishing state election law.

Integrity in Affiliation

Submission: Yes

“I have read the Idaho Constitution and the Idaho Republican Party Platform. Except for the provisions specifically noted below, I support the Idaho Republican Party Platform and accept it as the standard by which my performance as a candidate and as an officeholder should be evaluated. I certify that I am not a candidate, officer, delegate or position holder in any party other than the Republican Party.”

Section 5E of the Idaho Republican Party Platform opposes Term Limits which is in conflict with the National Republican Party Platform which supports Term Limits. Over 80% of Americans support Term Limits and do not want career politicians in office. I agree. With the exception of the 5E language for “”term limits””, I support the Idaho Republican Party Platform.
