Stephen Allmer

Here is a little bit about me. My wife and I were born and raised in Colorado. My Dad and Mom were Plumbing Contractors and owned a farm while purchasing my grandfather’s farm. I am a born-again believer since I was seven. I was in 4-H for ten years and other groups. I am an advocate for children to be part of something they are passionate about. We lost our dad when I was only 14 in a ditch cave-in yet learned very much from him. My mom who turned 90 this past January was able to raise four children and kept us all on the straight and narrow. I learned from my folks how America is the best country in the world. They build a legacy to pass on to their children, not debt.

I married my high school sweetheart, and we will be married 47 years in May. We have two wonderful children and four awesome grandchildren. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. I have been part of a couple successful businesses. My most recent business was General Engineering Contracting firm building water/wastewater plants, pump stations, turbine and Haz mat projects up to $30 million. I have learned how to work in difficult situations, make difficult decisions with my colleagues and being part of something bigger than just me. I learned how to deal with getting projects accomplished with local, state and federal agencies. I love building. I sat on our church board as the financial elder/pastor for over 20 years. I retired in 2017 in the gem state of Idaho. Our daughter moved here to raise her family and we followed. We love our little ranch, raise a few feeder calves, our farm/ranch that has been in the family for over 100 years and country living.

Folks want to know why I am running for the district 23 State Senate Seat. I love freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness! I witnessed firsthand 2020 and 2021 as all of you have. I watched our freedoms leak like a leaky faucet, I witnessed folks losing their jobs, their careers, families placed in hardships and hope lost. Hope deferred makes the heart sick. It made my blood boil. When you build a project, whether or not it is plant or anything; time is of the essence. The team in Boise were late or non-existent. It virtually was an infectious disease that affected every Idahoan. I learned from my dad, either lead, follow or get out of the way.

I am a Conservative Christian Republican and would like to go to work for you, represent you and be a voice for Idahoans!

When a business gets bogged down by not producing, you change those in leadership. I want to restore faith, freedom, and protect Idaho’s sovereignty. We need to protect the US, ID Constitutions and amendments, Declaration of Independence, stop drug & human trafficking, back the blue.
