Michael Hon

State Representative Legislative District 20 Seat B

Biography & Background

I am Mike Hon and I am running for District House Seat 20B. I have lived in SW Idaho over half my adult life and I have never found any other place quite like it.

I have since raised three kids and have performed community service as a Den Leader with Pack 127 in Eagle, Assistant Scout Master with Troop 77 at the Eagle United Methodist Church and an Assistant Baseball Coach with the West Valley Little League.

My professional background is in Engineering and Business Development in both Corporate America and as an Entrepreneur. I am a consensus builder and a problem solver.

I love to ski, fish, hunt and backpack in God’s Country.

I am pro 2nd Amendment, because without 2A, there are no other A’s!

Top 3 Issues:

1. Our legislators are beholden to lobbyists and special interests. Big Pharma, Big Tobacco and Big Healthcare are running our state. I want to focus on Idaho Citizens instead of corporate interests.
2. Parents should be the primary stakeholders in their children’s education and healthcare. That means Parents should have a major influence into what is taught at public schools since it OUR tax dollars that fund schools. Parents should also have a final say in any medical decisions that affect their children.
3. Government is the Problem. (Self explanatory)
