Top 3 Issues:

1. Strengthen Idaho’s Economy by: – Pursue common sense conservative approaches to economic development so that incentives offered to businesses result in a “win” for Idaho taxpayers in the form of goods, higher paying and quality jobs, and contributions to the tax base by businesses. – Improving and strengthening our infrastructure and transportation systems, including working with cities and partnering transportation entities and expanding access to internet.
2. Protect Individual Rights and Liberties including: – The 2nd Amendment – Right to Life, including introducing a comprehensive reform to Idaho’s Adoption Laws to make the process more affordable and less bureaucratic. – 14th Amendment’s Equal Justice Under the Law
3. Strengthen Idaho’s Education System by: – Work to reestablish strong bridges of trust and open communication between parents, teachers, and students, removing the toxic animosity and distrust that has increasingly plagued our education system across the state and nation in recent decades. – Work tirelessly to uphold the legislature’s constitutional duty to “maintain a general, uniform and thorough system of public, free common schools”, by fighting for adequate funding for our education system. – Reestablish the respect, value, and dignity for and of our teachers, by fighting for salary increases and taking more off their plates. They became teachers for a reason, and have earned to be treated as the professionals they are. – Work together with teachers and parents to assess areas of improvement, and strengthen what works already in our education system. – Require the legislature to create, and execute a 5-10 Year Comprehensive Education Master Plan, that follows along the same lines as Comprehensive Master Plans created and executed by our city governments and includes, among other items, sound funding plans. – Work together with parents and teachers to ensure that children are able to apply what they are learning in school, versus simply regurgitating it all during an exam and not retaining the important information they’ve learned.
