Creighton Knight

State Representative Legislative District 24 Seat B

Biography & Background

The potato industry brought my family to Idaho many years ago. I have raised my children here, and just like you, I want a future full of opportunity for them right here in Idaho.

It is because of my love for our Idaho way of life that I am running to be your representative in the legislature.

I have a degree in Economics and a Master’s in Business Administration. I served as a charter school board treasurer, a youth football coach, a 4H parent and church volunteer. My family owns a business in Filer.

Florida and Texas have many more democrats than Idaho, yet they are way ahead of us in important areas like school choice, low taxes, protecting children from divisive racial and gender issues in their schools, and standing up to Joe Biden’s federal overreach.

As your legislator, I will always work to keep Idaho the state where freedom and opportunity remain strong for all citizens.

I will work for innovative solutions that empower people and not government. I will defend life in all its stages. I will defend our 2nd amendment. I will protect our Ag industry from costly and burdensome regulations.

Whether you were born here, or got here as soon as you could, if you believe, as I do, that Idaho is special and must be preserved for our future generations, then I ask for your support in this election.

With the right leadership representing your interests, we will make a bright Idaho future together.

Top 3 Issues:

1. Tax Reform: With Joe Biden Inflation already eating away at our hard-earned dollars, it’s way past time to give relief to Idaho families by eliminating the grocery tax. Reform Property Taxes–with rising real estate values, there is danger of people being taxed out of their homes. I support reforming property taxes so that people are protected, and local governments are sufficiently funded. I believe like Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush and Donald Trump that when we cut taxes, it spurs economic growth. The economic growth in turn brings more revenue to the government without being a burden on hard working citizens. I am endorsed by the Citizen’s Alliance of Idaho for my pledge to lower and not raise taxes.
2. Support Agriculture Agriculture is the backbone of our economy. Idaho’s water is vital to sustaining our agriculture. As your legislator, I will support infrastructure funding like canal improvements to efficiently deliver and preserve our water supply. I will support water recharge projects and raising up our dams to protect our precious water resources. I will always work to find innovative solutions that benefit Idaho agriculture. I will always fight to protect our land and water rights. I will remain vigilant and never support any proposed legislation that siphons Idaho’s resources to outside interests. My professional life centers around agriculture and manufacturing. My family owns an orchard. I know firsthand how important agriculture and water are to our economy. From potatoes, beans and grains, to trout, ranching and dairy—Idaho feeds the nation and world with our agricultural goods.
3. Expand Educational Opportunity School Choice—parents should be empowered to choose the best education options for their children. As your legislator, I will support school choice so that our children will have the best educational opportunities: public and private schools, charter schools, home school—so they can reach their full potential. Expand Public Charter Schools—I served as School Board Treasurer of a public charter school. Public charter schools are a great option for many Idaho families. Promote Vocational Technical Training– Our kids should have the most career options available so that they can stay here in Idaho and raise their families. As your legislator, I will support expanding training for high demand careers. Protect our Children and Schools from destructive Critical Race Theory– We know that each person is created in God’s image with dignity and a unique purpose. We must never divide our children based on race.
