Idaho Ranks Near the Top of Best States for the Middle Class

New studies show that Idaho ranks high nationally as a great state to live for people in the middle class.

As CNBC reported recently, Idaho is tied for 4th in the nation in a “Best States for the Middle Class in 2018” ranking by SmartAsset:

“Idaho occupies the fourth spot, tied for that honor with North Dakota. Nearly a majority of Idaho households are in the middle class, a fact that boosts the state up in the rankings. Another positive signal that Idaho will continue to be a stronghold for the middle class in the future is the job growth numbers. From 2003 to 2017, the number of middle-class jobs in Idaho increased by 31%.”

Another study by GoBankingRates puts Idaho at 10th-best in the nation for people in the middle class.

Under Republican leadership in Idaho, we put a high priority on policies that support and strengthen our middle-class families.
